Scientific consulting

Supporting the realisation of research projects.

I am scientific consultant for the Buchinger Wilhelmi clinic, which specialises in therapeutic fasting. My role is to provide support to deliver research objectives – from the conception of the studies, the realisation of experiments and the analysis of their results, to the drafting of manuscripts and their publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Toxicology Advice & Consulting

I use my experience as a toxicologist to provide expert consulting on the risk assessment of pesticides.
I serve as a consultant on glyphosate risk assessment issues as part of litigation in the U.S. over glyphosate health effects. I also work as a scientific consultant for the Heartland study to help understand if herbicide exposure may trigger heritable epigenetic changes that influence development. I am also a council member at Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG).

Genomics & Bioinformatics

I am also providing expert consulting services in toxicology and bioinformatics.
To complement my PhD in molecular biology, I recently undertook a MSc in Bioinformatics at Birkbeck University of London, which was awarded with the highest distinction. Undertaking a Masters course on bioinformatics allowed me to familiarise myself with the use of computer programming in the medical sector. This includes core concepts and statistical fundamentals underpinning bioinformatics. I learned how to program in Python and design and query databases using SQL, and gain experience in more advanced programming practices such as software testing and application development.
I am using this combination of skills to help clinicians analyse complex biological data from molecular profiling “omics” technologies, such as high-throughput DNA sequencing analysis of the gut microbiome.
